There was a time when US citizens traveling into Mexico and Canda could do so with a standard state issued driver’s license. In June of 2009 the fully implemented Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative Act made it mandatory for all US Citizens and those of Canada and Bermuda, reentering the United States have a valid passport. Therefore, today you will certainly need a passport if you are traveling outside of the continental United States and planning to return. In order to obtain a passport you must submit photos that meet the photo requirements. These requirements are very specific and to avoid any issues you simply come into Lobdell Auto Title and we will make certain that your photos meet the following requirements:
- In color
- Printed on matte or glossy photo quality paper
- 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm) in size
- Sized such that the head is between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches (between 25 and 35 mm) from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head.
- Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance
- Taken in front of a plain white or off-white background
- Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
- Taken with a neutral facial expression (preferred) or a natural smile, and with both eyes open
